Nice country style pub across from the water. Prompt friendly staff and good prices. Great outdoors area also with fun for the kids all within eye sight of the parents. Good value huge meals also

For some people Jacobs Well might be a little way off the beaten track, but if you take some time out you might be pleasantly surprised.We went for lunch at the Jacobs Well Tavern yesterday, the staff were great, friendly and easy to deal with. Interior was nice with a large fish tank for of glorious looking fish. But the food, the food stole the show, going for a pub classic the chicken schnitzel with chips and salad. The plate was a generous helping of shnitty, chips, and a salad, I asked for gravy as well.The chicken was cooked perfectly, crunchy outside, tender and juicy on the inside, the golden crunchy chips were a work of art, and the salad was not just a side garnish, it was a taste sensation all on its own. The gravy was liquid paradise, I could have drunk a jug of the gravy on its own.If you go for a drive to JW do not miss eating at the tavern.
We are from out of town to visit my brother. He took us here for a feed & I was totally amazed by the generous serving of their food. I couldn't finish off my chicken parma! Staff are so friendly & they have a courtesy bus to take us back. They have a children's playground that my 4yr old daughter couldn't get enough of. I highly recommend this great tavern as it's children friendly!Definitely will come back here a few times before we fly back home to the big city!
